The tour starts ONLY from Capri.

Please note: waiting times for the Blue Grotto are very long (about one hour and a half). The ticket is not included and can only be purchased at the entrance, in cash. The waiting time will be removed from the duration of the tour, so we recommend booking at least the 4 hour tour (Relaxation).

Capri - an island adventure in Campania

There are many daily boat tours to the island of Capri from nearby towns around Naples in Campania region of Italy. You can also take a cheaper option of ferries departing from Sorrento, Amalfi, Positano or Naples but a boat tour has advantage of visiting the Grottos and a managed day trip without having to plan the connections to different sites around the island.

We took the trip in October when the crowd is not too much and the heat is not terrible like in summer months. Our departure port was Massa Lubrense, one of the closest point from the mainland to Capri.

The trip included visit to Blue Grotto, While Grotto and Green Grotto. Keep in mind depending on weather condition and water level, not all grotto maybe accessible at the time of the tour. You can also access them via bus or taxi once in the island but that may take more time.

We docked in Marina Piccolo, the smaller and less crowded port of Capri. The larger port, called Marina Grande, is close to the Panoramic terrace viewpoint with a cable car access. We took the long beautiful walk from the other side which goes through the island but could be a bit of a hike. Capri is a beautiful island with lot to enjoy on a day trip. One popular tradition is to pass under the famous 3 peaks on a boat and kiss your significant other as they ring the bell on the boat.

Best time to visit would be between October and December when the weather is nice.

Incredible Boat Tour of Capri!

We had a wonderful experience with We Capri and cannot recommend them highly enough for a private boat tour of Capri. Our skipper, Stefano, was knowledgeable, kind, helpful, and fun, and gave us an incredible half day tour around the island, while Eleonora was super responsive and helpful in coordinating the details beforehand. Everyone that works at We Capri is native to the area, and they really prioritize creating an authentic, informative, relaxed experience for guests, with time to swim, learn, and see all the beautiful sights. We Capri also went above and beyond for our tour, surprising us with little chocolate cakes and Prosecco for the two birthdays we were celebrating on board! It was so special. They also had pool noodles and kickboards for anyone that wanted a bit of help in the water, and we were really appreciative of how considerate Stefano was in making sure everyone in our family was comfortable swimming and getting on and off the boat. They also had soft drinks, water, and towels. We enjoyed it so much — thank you, We Capri!!

Once in a lifetime trip! our guide Stefan was amazing even invited us to wait a little after the blue grotto closed so that we could swim inside... an experience we will remember!

We had the most amazing morning on our We Capri Boat Tour. It is by far the best way to see the island, an absolute must if you want to take in the beautiful sights of Capri in style away from the crowds. Our captain, Paulo, was a fantastic guide; very friendly and was passionate about us getting the best out of our time aboard the boat. We even got to swim through the Green Grotto which was stunning! This was a highlight of our honeymoon, and would thoroughly recommend to other couples or small groups alike.

Great Way to See Capri

Tour was easy to book and Eleonora from WeCapri was very kind/responsive, communicating very clearly via Whatsapp. She was a pleasure to interact with. The boat was much nicer than expected and an excellent way to quickly experience a part of Capri. The biggest knock against the tour was our guide. He seemed uninterested and did not provide much information or speak much. It is probably hit or miss depending on who you get. That being said, he did safely navigate us around the island. Would recommend this company, just be aware experience can be highly dependent upon your guide/skipper.
